The World Forum for Democracy 2025 is scheduled to take place in Strasbourg, France, from November 5 to 7, 2025. The theme for this year's forum is:


“Democracy at risk: How can we revive it?”

 

This annual event, organized by the Council of Europe, serves as a platform for political decision-makers, activists, and civil society representatives to discuss and address the challenges facing democracies worldwide. The forum focuses on identifying and analyzing experimental initiatives and practices that aim to strengthen democratic societies .

📝 How to Apply

The Call for Initiatives for the World Forum for Democracy 2025 is currently open. The deadline for submission is May 17, 2025. Public and private organizations worldwide are invited to submit innovative initiatives that enhance democracy and contribute to sustainable peace. One presenter for each selected initiative will be invited to Strasbourg, with travel and accommodation expenses covered by the Council of Europe if required .
