The Czech Republic Government Scholarship for the 2026 academic year is a fully funded opportunity for students from eligible developing countries to pursue Master’s or PhD programs at public universities in the Czech Republic. This scholarship is part of the Czech government's development cooperation efforts.

    • Czech (with a one-year preparatory language course)

  • Bosnia and Herzegovina

  • Cambodia

  • Ethiopia

Applicants from other countries, including EU and Czech Republic citizens, are not eligible.

💰 Scholarship Benefits

  • Tuition Fees: Fully covered

  • Monthly Stipend:

    • CZK 16,000 (~$700 USD) for Master’s students

    • CZK 17,000 (~$750 USD) for PhD students

  • Accommodation: Covered by the stipend

  • Meals & Transportation: Covered by the stipend

  • Travel Expenses: To and from the Czech Republic are the responsibility of the nominating organization or the student

📄 Eligibility Criteria

  • Academic Requirements:

    • Master’s applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree

    • PhD applicants must hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree

  • Language Proficiency:

    • For Czech-taught programs: Proficiency in Czech is required; a preparatory language course is available

    • For English-taught programs: Proof of English proficiency may be required

  • Health: Applicants must meet health and physical standards required by Czech universities

  • Commitment: Candidates must demonstrate a commitment to returning to their home country after completing their studies
