Singapore Government Scholarship 2026-2027 Fully Funded

 The Singapore International Graduate Award (SINGA) 2026–2027 is a fully funded scholarship for international students pursuing PhD or EngD degrees in Singapore. This prestigious program is a collaboration among the Agency for Science, Technology & Research (A*STAR), the National University of Singapore (NUS), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD), Singapore Management University (SMU), and Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT) .

🎓 Available Degree Programs & Research Areas

SINGA supports PhD and EngD studies in various disciplines, including:

  • Biomedical Sciences

  • Computing and Information Sciences

  • Engineering and Technology

  • Physical Sciences

Students can choose to conduct their research at A*STAR research institutes or any of the participating universities 

💰 Financial Benefits

The SINGA scholarship offers comprehensive financial support for up to four years:

  • Full tuition fees

  • Monthly stipend: SGD 2,700 (increased to SGD 3,200 after passing the Qualifying Examination)

  • One-time airfare grant: Up to SGD 1,500

  • One-time settling-in allowance: SGD 1,000

Estimated monthly living expenses in Singapore range from SGD 1,400 to SGD 2,000, covering food, accommodation, transport, and other personal expenses .


✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Hold a good undergraduate and/or master's degree

  • Demonstrate proficiency in written and spoken English

  • Provide strong academic references

  • Be international graduates with a passion for research (Note: Singaporeans, Singapore Permanent Residents, and international students who have studied in Singapore are not eligible)

  1. Browse PhD Research Projects: Explore available projects in your field of interest.

  2. Prepare Required Documents:

    • Valid passport

    • Recent passport-sized photo

    • Academic transcripts (in English)

    • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree certificates or certification letters

    • Two recommendation reports (submitted online by referees)

  3. Submit Application Online: Apply through the official SINGA portal.

  4. Note: No hard copy documents should be mailed to the SINGA Office.
