Eligibility Criteria for Netherlands Government Scholarship 2026:

Applicants applying must:

  • Applicant must no be from the EEA (European Economic Area)
  • Apply and receive an admission offer from the respective Dutch University
  • Fulfill all the requirements of the university you are applying in
  • Not already have a degree from any education university in the Netherlands
  • Apply for a full-time bachelors or Master’s degree

How to apply for the Netherlands Scholarship for International Students:

  • You are eligible to apply for the NL Scholarship at a Dutch Higher Education Institution (DHEI) of your choice, provided you meet the selection criteria.
  • All 32 partner Dutch universities are offering Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programs in various departments.
  • Each department has its own online application form.
  • Participants must first select a university, then access and apply through the respective online application link of that university.

  • A motivation letter to explain why you are applying for this scholarship
  • Official copy of the latest transcript
  • Financial statement to show why you deserve this scholarship
  • Budget plan of how they will manage all finances
  • Updated CV
  • Reference letter
  • Contact details of the reference provided (email address/ phone number)
  • English language certificate
  • Any other document that is mentioned on the official link of the respective university you have chosen to apply in
