What is the Eligibility Criteria for King Abdulaziz University Scholarship?

Candidates must fulfill the following criteria to avail of this Scholarship for their study at KAU.

For Undergraduate Students:

1.     A student must be of good conduct.
2.     Students must make a full commitment to the KAU regulations and by-laws.
3.     Students must be medically fit.
4.     Students must have obtained a secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent from within KSA or abroad.
5.     Regular Students attending in the morning duty must commit themselves to full-time study.
6.     The student’s secondary school graduation certificate must not be older than 3 years.
7.     Students must not be younger than 17 years old or older than 25 years old for the undergraduate level.
8.     Students must not be dismissed from any university for any reason.
9.     Students must not have been awarded a scholarship from a Saudi University.
10.     A Female student must be accompanied by a relative who is within the prohibited degrees with a regular resident.
11. Students must be eligible for admission requirements.

For MS / Ph.D. Students:

1. For Masters, Studies Students must not be older than 30 years, and for Ph.D. Studies students must not be older than 35 Years for a PhD

5. The student must obtain one of the following scores in English language tests:

TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) 500 in PBT

1. Two Recommendation Letters from his/her previous faculty members of Home University. (Sample for Recommendation Letters)
2. The applicant must not have been dismissed from one of the Saudi Institutions.
3. Applicants of Arabic Language and Literature Course, Islamic Law and Studies, Sociology, Psychology as well as Information Science programs must be professional Arabic language.
