What are the Benefits of the Japan International MANGA Award?
- The Japan International MANGA Award will be awarded the Gold Award for the most outstanding manga work.
- The Silver Award on three excellent entries, and the Bronze Award on approximately eleven notable works.
- Winners of the Gold and Silver Awards will receive trophies and certificates, while Bronze Award winners will receive certificates.
- Additionally, the Special Encouragement Award may be granted to a manga work.
- As a special prize, (Free Tour to Japan) Gold and Silver Award winners will be invited to Japan for approximately seven days to participate in the award ceremony.
What are the Eligibility Requirements for the Japan International MANGA Award?
To be eligible for the Japan International MANGA Award, submissions must meet the following criteria:
- The manga work must consist of more than 16 pages.
- Both published and unpublished works are accepted, except those that have previously won this award.
- Eligible works must have been created between 2022 and 2025.
- Submitted works must not infringe on the intellectual property rights of any third party.
- The entries must be the original creation of the artist.
- Works primarily generated by AI, including plot, composition, and drawing, are not accepted.
- AI-generated images may be used as supplemental material for certain parts of the work, provided their use is declared in the submission forms.
- Entries can be submitted electronically in PDF format or printed form.
- Electronic submissions will be printed for the selection process.
- Each comic artist is allowed to submit only one entry. If multiple entries are submitted, only the first entry will be considered, and all subsequent entries will be invalid.
