University of Toronto Undergraduate Scholarships 2025-2026

#1 Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship

International applicants may also be considered for the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarship program. This scholarship program is designed to recognize students who have exceptional academic backgrounds.

#2 International Scholar Awards

The International Scholar Awards are automatically awarded to international students who are enrolled at the University of Toronto. These scholarships have a value of up to $10000.

#3 Admission Awards

Students are automatically considered for a variety of admission awards when they apply to the Faculty of Arts & Science. Below are some of the admission awards available to incoming Arts & Science students.

#4 Arts & Science Global Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to international students on a merit basis. Students are automatically considered. The total value of this scholarship is the full tuition fee of an international student until the completion of the degree. Accommodation costs will not be covered in this award.

#5 Building Canadian Leaders: Physical & Mathematical Sciences Award

This scholarship is awarded to domestic students enrolled in the Physical & Mathematical Sciences admission category. The award supports and encourages students who show a track record of community engagement, sports, culture, and extracurricular activities. This scholarship is valued at approximately $14,000 over four years of study.

#6 Edward Blake Admission Scholarship

This scholarship is offered to an undergraduate student who is admitted into the Faculty of Arts & Science. The total scholarship value is $5,500 over four years of study.

#7 International Merit Admission Award

This scholarship is offered to international students, students are considered automatically once they are enrolled in the course. This award values up to $50,000 over four consecutive years, or until degree completion.

#8 Jack & Adrienne Taylor Scholarship for Undergraduate Students

This award is only Offered to a domestic student such as a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident, Protected Person, or Convention Refugee undergraduate student enrolled at the Faculty of Arts & Science. This award will be given based on academic merit and financial need. The total scholarship value is $12,000, towards the first year of study.

#9 James Hosinec & Carol M. Isaac Scholarship in the Faculty of Arts & Science

This award is being given to undergrad students in arts and sciences. The total value of this scholarship is $10,000 towards the first year of study.

#10 Nicoletta and Dan Scrimger Award

This is offered to undergraduate students who are enrolled in the Humanities at the Faculty of Arts & Science. This scholarship will be given based on academic merit and financial need. The student must be a graduate of a Toronto high school. This award Values up to $20,000 over four years of study.

#11 The Roberts Scholarship

The total award value is $25,000 over four years of study.

#12 University of Toronto International Scholar Award

This scholarship is offered on admission to selected international students based on merit. Students are automatically considered for this award. This scholarship is valued at up to $100,000 over four consecutive years or until degree completion.

#14 Andrea and Charles Bronfman Student Awards in Israeli Studies

This award is open to students in any program in the Faculty of Arts & Science, St. George campus. This award is based on academic merit and making efforts in anti-racism through community involvement. This award has the value of $1000 to $10000.

#16 Cyril A. Morong Scholarship of Excellence

This is awarded to two part-time or full-time undergraduate domestic students enrolled in any program in the Faculty of Arts & Science, who self-identify as Black. this award value is up to $1,250.

#17 Daisy Ho Contemporary China Special Undergraduate Projects Fund

This scholarship is awarded to third-year undergraduate students who are undertaking a special research project on contemporary China.

#18 Dean's Student Initiative Fund

This scholarship has a value of up to $1000.

#19 Dr. David Chu Scholarship in Asia Pacific Studies

This is awarded to undergraduate and graduate students who are pursuing studies or research related to the Asia Pacific region. This award value will be determined annually.

University of Toronto Master's and PhD Scholarships 2025-2026

#1 Adel S. Sedra Distinguished Graduate Award

This scholarship is given to the Second or third year of a doctoral program at the University of Toronto. The scholarship value is Up to $25,000 for 1 year.

#2 Apple Scholars in AI/ML

This scholarship is awarded to doctoral students who are learning machine and artificial intelligence, and the funding is for 2 years.

#7 C. David Naylor University Fellowships Endowed by a Gift from the Arthur L. Irving Foundation

This scholarship has a value of $30,000 for one year. It is awarded to Doctoral and research Master’s students.

#8 Canada Graduate Scholarships-Doctoral (CGS D​) Program

This scholarship is only for domestic students. The value of CGS D is $35,000 per year for 36 months, NSERC PGS D is $21,000 per year for 36 months, SSHRC Doctoral Fellowship is $20,000 per year for 12 to 48 months

#9 Canada Graduate Scholarships-Master’s (CGS-M) Program

This scholarship has a value of $17,500 for one year. It is awarded to Doctoral and research Master’s students.

#10 China Scholarship Council

This scholarship is awarded to Doctoral students. A living allowance of CAD 2200 per month will be given for up to forty-eight months, a return international airfare, and visa application fees. The full tuition fee is also covered by this scholarship.

#11 Connaught International Scholarship

This scholarship is given to doctoral students. The value of this award is $10,000 renewable for a total of 4-5 years.

#12 Connaught PhD for Public Impact Fellowship Program

This award has a value of $12,500 total for one year.

#13 Delta Kappa Gamma World Fellowships

This scholarship has a value of $4000 for one year. It is awarded to Doctoral and research Master’s students.

#14 Ghana Scholarship Secretariat

This scholarship will cover the full cost of tuition and fees as well as an allowance for textbooks, accommodations, and airfare for the duration of doctoral studies.

#15 Google PhD Fellowship

This fellowship offers full tuition and fees for up to 3 years.

#16 Inclusive Excellence Admissions Scholarships for Master’s Students

This scholarship is for master's students. The value of this scholarship is $15,000 max. for one year.

#17 Iranian Student Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship has a value of $10,000 for one year, only one award will be given. It is awarded to Doctoral and research Master’s students.

#18 John Charles Polanyi Prizes

This award has a value of $20,000.

#19 Mackenzie King Open & Travelling Scholarship

This scholarship has a value of a Travelling Scholarship of $10,500 for one year and an Open Scholarship of $8,500 for one year.

#20 Michael Smith Foreign Study Supplements

This award has a value of Up to $6,000 to fund 2 to 6 months of travel.

#21 Mitacs Globalink Graduate Fellowship

This scholarship is offered to Doctoral, Master’s level. The Globalink program currently accepts applicants from India, China, Brazil, and Mexico.

#22 NAGS Master’s Thesis and Doctoral Dissertation Awards

This scholarship has a value of $1000 for one year. It is awarded to Doctoral and research Master’s students.

#23 Ontario Graduate Scholarship

The value of the OGS is $5,000 per session. It is awarded to Doctoral and research Master’s students.

#24 Ontario Women’s Health Scholars Awards

This award is only for domestic students. It is awarded to Doctoral and research Master’s students. 2 Master's Awards of $​25,000 plus a $2,000 research allowance, 3 Doctoral Awards of $35,000 plus a $5,000 research allowance, and 2 Postdoctoral Awards up to $50,000 plus $5,000 research allowance will be given.

#25 Pierre Elliott Trudeau Foundation Doctoral Scholarships

This scholarship has a value of Up to $40,000 per year for three years to cover tuition and reasonable living expenses.

#26 Rhodes Scholarship

This scholarship is only available to domestic students. The scholarship includes Oxford University and College fees plus an annual stipend.

#27 Schmidt Science Fellows Award

This award has a value of $110,000 per year for up to two years of Postdoctoral research.

#28 Scholars-at-Risk Fellowship​

This scholarship has a value of Up to $10,000 for one year.

#29 SGS Indigenous Graduate Travel Award

This award has a value of Up to $1,000.

#30 UTM Postdoctoral Fellowship Award Program

This award has a value of Up to $40,000.

#31 UTSC Inclusive Excellence Postdoctoral Fellowship Program

This award has a benefit of $70,000 (including benefits) per year, for two years.

#32 Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship

This scholarship has the value of $50,000 per year for three years.

#33 Walter C. Sumner Memorial Fellowships

This award is only for domestic students. This scholarship has a value of $6,000 for one year and is only awarded to doctoral students.
