#1 Need-based Scholarship


A need-based scholarship is awarded based on the student’s financial situation. To determine these scholarships income generated by the student or student spouse until the age of 25 years. A full-time student receiving a need-based scholarship may receive an additional scholarship on account of accommodation. The criteria for processing applications and the amount of need-based scholarship and other scholarship-related issues will be determined by the Rector based on the size of the scholarship fund, the number of applications received for the current year, and the financial situation of applicants. All documents which are supplied must be translated into Polish.


#2 Financial Aid at Adam Mickiewicz University


Financial aid benefits are awarded by the Rector or the university scholarship board appointed by the Rector. Rector’s scholarship is granted as of the second year of first-cycle studies and the second year of long-cycle master’s studies. International students who have been granted long-term residency permits in the European Union are eligible for this scholarship. A foreigner who has a refugee status granted in the Republic of Poland is also eligible. An international student who has passed confirming a C1-level command of Polish as a foreign language is eligible for this Financial aid. A foreigner whose spouse is a Polish national is also eligible for this aid.

#3 One-time Grant at Adam Mickiewicz University


A one-time grant is a non-returnable, cash benefit. A student who is in a temporarily difficult financial situation may receive a one-time grant. The grant will only be awarded two times in an academic year. All documents that are attached to the application should be presented in Polish. The amount of this grant is established by the university scholarship board. The maximum amount of a one-time grant is set yearly by the Rector.
